Honeymoon Bay-Volunteer Invasive Removal

Invasive removal and Native planting. Tools, gloves and training will be supplied to volunteers. A hot dog lunch will be provided to participants by the Honeymoon Bay Community Society after the event. Todd Carnahan, a local FireSmart representative from Emergency Management Cowichan, will give a 15 minute presentation at noon about protecting our homes from wildfire and a rebate program available for pursuing FireSmart recommendations on your property!  Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes and dress for the weather as the event will go on as long as conditions remain safe and workable. Bring drinking water and any snacks you would like. Register if possible before the event.
