Inauguration of New Estuary Viewing Platform

Construction of a new viewing platform on Blackley’s Farm Dike has just been completed and an inauguration ceremony is planned in conjunction with Nature Cowichan. We will start at the trailhead, walk the trail, see how beautiful it looks without  broom, watch the tree swallows defending their turf along the fence with CERCA’s swallow boxes until we arrive at the viewing platform which providing a spectacular view of intact salt marshes, one of the nicest spots of the entire estuary, a birder’s paradise.
