Mothers Day Tea at Wildwood
May 10 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
What’s better to celebrate Mother’s Day than a classic and cozy tea time? Maybe spending time outdoors learning about harvesting plants for making tea, followed by a relaxing afternoon in the Wildwood Homestead with homemade treats? Join us for a walk through our trails to learn about which native plants can be sustainably harvested for a delicious and healthy tea and finish up at the Homestead to enjoy some Wildwood tea and homemade goodies. A naturalist will be providing games and crafts for your kids aged 5-12 so you can relax, kid-free, inside the cozy Homestead lounge or at the idyllic lakeside.
Plan to arrive around 12:45, and park in the main parking lot as you turn off 2929 Crane Road onto the property. Walk down the drive to the Visitor Centre where our naturalists will be waiting for you. There are 2 outhouses, one being accessible to wheelchairs. You will be outdoors for the first hour of the event, and will be walking on forest trails. On the trails, there’s a small downhill slope in the forest and a bigger slope up the gravel path. There is a four-step staircase to get into the Homestead, where the second half of the event will be with a proper bathroom. Please note that cell service is limited. No dogs please.
