DESCRIPTION:Help us pull the invasive aquatic weed parrot’s feather from Somenos Creek! \nEvery week in the summer we will be in Somenos Creek cutting and removing parrot’s feather from Somenos Creek. DESCRIPTION:Andy MacKinnon\, the guru of BC plants\, will provide an entertaining and informative talk entitled: “Rare Ground: Inside B.C.’s Most Endangered Forest” as part of the month-long exhibition\, ‘Art of the Six Mountains\,’  a collaboration of the Cowichan Valley Arts Council and sixmountains.ca.\n\nMacKinnon served as forest research ecologist with the provincial government for three decades. He has co-authored six best-selling books on plants of western North America\, including the iconic\, Plants of Coastal British Columbia and the Royal BC Museum Handbook\, Mushrooms of British Columbia. \nAdmission by donation.
