SUMMARY:Wildwood AGM & Potluck
DESCRIPTION:The Ecoforestry Institute Society is pleased to invite you all to attend our 2026 Annual General Meeting\, complete with potluck and tours. Free! \nWe are very honoured to announce that our guest speaker this year is Stz’uminus hereditary man Squtxulenuhw (George Seymour)\, whose talk Life on the Land will feature teachings of his own father and grandfather in relation to the lands. Both the EIS AGM and Squtxulenuhw’s teachings will be available via zoom. \nPlease plan to arrive by 10:00\, and park in the main parking lot as you turn off of Crane Road onto the property. Walk down the drive to the Visitor Centre\, our naturalists will be waiting to lead you down to the Homestead. The AGM starts at 10:15. After enjoying another one of our famous potlucks that will include some special baking by our wonderful baker Heidi Jungwirth\, there will be a short update on the Burn the Wildwood Mortgage Campaign.  We will conclude with various tours of Wildwood in the afternoon. \nWe look forward to sharing our accomplishments over the past years as well as our dreams and visions for the coming year! \nPlease RSVP below to come in person or attend the meeting and presentations via zoom.\nAmenities and Accessibility: \nThere are 2 outhouses\, one being accessible to wheelchairs. If you are participating in a tour\, the trails have a small downhill slope in the forest and a bigger slope up the gravel path. Please note that cell service is limited. We’re sorry to say that dogs are not allowed on site\, so please leave your furry friends at home. \nPlease contact us about any accessibility needs or questions at admin@ecoforestry.ca. \nWhat to bring: \n\n\nSturdy footwear \n\n\nClothing layers (Keep in mind it is always a few degrees cooler in the forest) \n\n\nWater \n\n\nYour favourite snack for the potluck \n\n\nBinoculars \n\n\nA phone or camera will come handy \n\n\nPlease note: Our booking system closes registration 2 days before the event. DESCRIPTION:Join us at Just Jakes for a Wildwings Nest Box Art show opening reception to appreciate the local art\, meet the artists\, and enjoy some appetizers.  \nThe WildWings Nature & Arts Festival’s art show is entirely composed of artist-painted nest boxes. Each nest box is an entirely original piece of art by an incredible artist. Among this year’s artists are well-known talent like Robert Bateman\, Luke Marston\, as well as many\, very talented\, other artists.
