Hwy/rail corridor north. Meet on Ludlow Road near the Home Hardware and work south along the highway/rail towards Transfer Beach access.

Holland Creek. Meet in the Info Hut on Methuen and 6 avenue to join Friends of Holland Creek to clear broom from the patch cleared last year and along the trail up towards the Rotary Lookout. On the way we will clear Colonia bridge embankments if we have access.  

Everyone welcome to come and update the group on zoom or in-person.

If you arrive at 6:30pm, we will take a one hour walk around the area and talk about the nature signage and Fish Gut Alley.  Alternatively, you can wait a bit and arrive at 7:30pm with (or without) some finger food snacks to share while we discuss ideas about future Nature Cowichan walks, talks, advocacy...

We'll meet at 1:00pm at the Somenos Marsh Wildlife Society Office, then head out together from there. Please bring personal water, weather appropriate clothing, and sturdy work shoes. Shawnigan Basin Society Fundraiser: silent auction and dinner at Unsworth Vinyards 2915 Cameron Taggart Road

Come on out and play in the mud!  A newly carved "Salmon Rattle" will be unveiled and Genevieve Singleton will explore the plants along Hecate Park while the Herons provide a cacophony of cackles overhead. A free, family event.

Transfer Beach: Meet in the Kinsman Hut to have coffee (BYO) with Friends of Holland Creek. We will be tending the native plant beds and doing broom busting and invasive work along the park edges and towards the Dogpatch and then the Waterfront.
