Stoney Hill Park Plan-Open House
November 26 @ 3:30 pm - 7:00 pm
CVRD announces engagement opportunities to contribute to a park management planning process for Stoney Hill Regional Park.
The Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) and Cowichan Tribes are working together to develop the first Stoney Hill Regional Park Management Plan. The plan will weave together Quw’utsun knowledge, ecological and archaeological research, public perspectives, and contextual analysis to provide guidance for the continued care and stewardship of the cultural, spiritual, ecological, and recreational values of the regional park for the next 10 to 20 years.
The first stage of the Management Plan process (including Phase 1 Engagement) is currently underway, with the final Management Plan anticipated in early 2028. Phase 1 Engagement focuses on gathering knowledge, values, and ideas. Input received during this phase will help shape the key concepts and directions that form the foundation of the Management Plan.
